Affirming Ruthie

Isn't this great?  Ruthie is our first baby to have learned to "say yes" (by nodding enthusiastically) well before she has ever expressed "no".  In fact, she has been nodding yes for months now, and only 2 weeks ago shook her head no for the first time.  Since then, she's only done it a couple of times while we still get the enthusiastic nodding several times a day.  LOVE IT!

(She is also our first baby to say "Mama"-and has been saying it for months!  The first time she said "Dada" was the day Eric left for China and then she (understandably) stopped.  Just this last week she's started saying it again, but just like the nodding, I get "Mama" several times a day; and yes, we know she means to say it to me, not just make that sound.)
