Our last sight-seeing stop was the Whirlpool. As the river rushes past those rapids and around a corner, it creates a whirlpool. We read of many daredevils who survived the whitewater rapids only to be caught in the whirlpool.
The Spanish Aero Car is suspended by cables and brings people directly over the whirlpool. At this point in the day, we opted out. You can see the cables and the red and yellow car in this photo.

All these adventures sufficiently tired out the children (and us!). They were asleep before we crossed the border!

Great pictures and awesome vacation Elisa and Eric! Looks like you all had a fun filled adventure with a few heart stopping moments thrown in. I can't wrap my head around visiting the Grand Canyon yet with the kids because of the visions of them falling over the side.
